Position Title and Location: Dance Team at Sparta High School

Duties of the Position: Supervise, coach, plan and oversee all aspects the Sparta Dance Team 

Special Skills Required: The preferred candidate will have experience working with high school age students and choreography experience in Hip-Hop and Pom routines. The head coach is responsible for planning, managing, leading, and evaluating an education-based athletics program that seeks to develop athletes of purpose. The head coach’s leadership must have a positive impact on the physical, social, and emotional development of student athletes. The head coach should be a developer, teacher, achiever, and problem solver who demonstrates a high degree of integrity, trust, responsibility, positivity, and flexibility.

Work Schedule of the Position: Must be available for regularly scheduled practices.  Summer practices are typically held in the evenings, fall & winter practices are held after school as scheduled by the head coach. There are evening performances during the fall and winter and several Saturday competitions during the winter season.
