Position Details
Job Summary: WVS Add-on Services Consultants play a vital role in expanding the services offered by the Wisconsin Virtual School (WVS) and CESA 9. They provide live, one-on-one support to WVS learners as part of our add-on services. Consultants work on a per-service basis, delivering personalized instruction and student support in line with the WVS Add-on Services Consultant Guidelines.
As this is contract work, teachers who work with WVS may be currently employed full-time with another school district as long as their duties with WVS do not conflict with their duties at the local school district. Consultants working with WVS students are not eligible for benefits and are responsible for all payroll taxes and equipment. Service as a WVS consultant does not qualify for contribution or eligibility into the Wisconsin Retirement System.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide homework and online learning support to WVS learners who are identified within their district as having an IEP or 504
- Potential to attend Special Education meetings to support districts in making team or placement decisions for learners enrolled in WVS courses.
- Potential for other work as it relates to the position
- Wisconsin General Education Teacher License
- Wisconsin Special Education License (preferably K-12)
- Demonstrates an understanding and use of digital accessibility to support all learners
- Minimum of 2 years online teaching preferably in a Learning Management System and online content
- Comfortable with virtual conferencing platforms
- Ability to work remotely
- Flexibility (daytime, evening, and potentially weekend availability)
