The Menasha Joint School District has a full time opening for a District Registrar beginning on July 1, 2024. Under the supervision of the student information system manager, the District Registrar will be responsible for assisting families with the registration process and maintaining accurate student records within the district. This role involves working closely with school administrators and families to ensure all student records are complete and up-to-date. The District Registrar will also apply specialized procedures to maintain and operate the new student registration processes for the school district. This position is the secondary contact for open enrollment. This position will remain available until filled with the screening of application materials to begin immediately. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage Student Enrollment

  • Greet families and visitors in the registration office and create a welcoming environment.

  • Assist families with the registration process for new and returning students.

  • Process Online Registration applications for new students.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records including but not limited to addresses, phone numbers, immunization records, and birth certificate verification.

  • Process requests for student records from schools. 

  • Process free and reduced meal applications.

  • Attendance Area Transfers

Secondary Open Enrollment Contact

  • Serve as a backup to the open enrollment coordinator and assist with the verification of data during count dates.

  • Enter alternative open enrollment applications into the state system accurately and promptly.

  • Communicate with families regarding the status of their open enrollment applications and assist as needed.

  • Update open enrollment status for students open enrolled to other districts in the Student Information System.

Maintain Accurate Student Information

  • Manage and maintain student records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of student data in the student information system (SIS).

  • Provide support to staff on how to accurately enter and maintain student data.

  • Generate reports of student data as required.

  • Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices in student data management.

  • Update addresses, phone numbers, and demographic data for students/parents/guardians etc.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting is preferred but not required.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Google and/or Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to understand and create relationships in complex databases.
