The Sauk Prairie School District is seeking a student-centered, technology-savvy, energetic educator with a passion for teaching to join the Sauk Prairie Middle School Learning Community as a part-time teacher, part-time math interventionist. We are in year two of implementing a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Gateway program and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help expand this program at our school.
 
In addition to exemplary credentials in math and/or technology education at the middle level, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated history that would include the following experiences and dispositions:
Use of data to inform programming goals and evaluate student progress
A familiarity with the MLSS process Comfort and expertise in growing students within a project-based learning environment
Knowledge and implementation of trauma-informed instructional practices
Content-area literacy instruction
A passion for working with Middle School students
 
District Description: The district includes Sauk City and Prairie du Sac, two “next door” villages known as Sauk Prairie. They are located on the beautiful Wisconsin River. Thirteen towns and the village of Merrimac are also in the district. The area features rolling hills, meadows, bluffs, forests, lakes and streams. The district offers small-town, rural living with easy access to the Madison urban area (25 miles) and to the Wisconsin Dells recreation area (28 miles). The district serves 2,800 students and is comprised of six learning communities with a high school of 850 students, a middle school of 600 students, and four elementary schools of 1,350 students.
 
WI DPI required certification: Any of the following:
Computer Science OR
Technology Education OR Mathematics OR Middle Childhood- Early Adolescence Regular Education
 
Additional consideration will be taken for candidates with Project Lead the Way (PLTW) experience.
 
Start Date: August 27, 2024. Two days of new teacher in-service on 8/19 & 8/20 School begins on September 3.
