We are looking to hire a few employees to serve as the A/V Technician (and alternates) for Board of Education meetings. This extra duty position will be paid at a rate of $25 per hour. Board of Education Meeting A/V Technician 

Provide efficient and effective operation of the technology associated with Board of Education meetings. Candidates must be able to attend most or all Board of Education meetings (typically the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month) plus special meetings, as needed. Alternates will be available for emergencies and planned absences. Approximately 8 hours per month. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Arrive one hour before meetings begin (arrival typically at 5:00 pm) to set up.

  • Setting up microphones, making sure all are working and at the correct sound levels for the meeting.

  • Setting up and logging on the board computer, and pulling up the current meeting agenda and attachments page.

  • Setting up the main presentation, any audio video presentations given by staff or board members to present in the meeting, and making sure the audio and video feed are coming through to the computer to ensure a smooth stream and recording process.

  • Controlling camera movement and transitions as needed, as well as sound and volume adjustments as needed throughout the entirety of the meeting.

  • Troubleshooting throughout the entirety of the meeting as needed.

  • Tearing down, turning off, and/or packing up gear (microphones, name plates, computers, monitors, TV's, switcher board, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to handle and successfully complete several tasks at one time.

  • Must be capable of prolonged computer usage

  • Proficient with video and audio technology or ability to troubleshoot technical issues

  • Ability to attend the entire School Board meetings (typically the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month)

  • Ability to follow direction and give input as needed

PAY RATE: $25 per hour
