The School District of Tomahawk is located in north-central Wisconsin, approximately 40 miles north of Wausau. The district serves the city of Tomahawk and the surrounding townships with an approximate population of 11,800 residents. Tomahawk is a friendly small town surrounded by more than fifteen lakes and flowages with thousands of acres of publicly accessible forests, offering many recreational opportunities. Tomahawk has a strong economic base provided by corporate businesses such as Packaging Corporation of America, Harley Davidson, and Louisiana-Pacific. There is also a strong small business presence in manufacturing, finance, hospitality and tourism, healthcare, service industries, and education.

Position Qualifications:
Wisconsin DPI License 1365 - Spanish is required. Consideration will be given to applicants that are in the process of or are able to obtain licensure.

Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to:
1. Develop positive relationships with students, parents, school staff, and community members.
2. Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills with parents, students, school staff, and community members.
3. Work in a highly collaborative environment that focuses on student learning.
4. Utilize various forms of assessment to guide instruction and monitor student growth/achievement, and develop appropriate intervention strategies. Knowledge and experience with target-based instruction, assessment, and reporting are desirable.
5. Develop a Spanish curriculum that aligns with district learning goals and best instructional practices.
6. The ability to independently integrate all types of technology into a highly functioning classroom including, but not limited to Chromebooks, Google Apps, interactive hardware, and software.
7. Effectively work in a 1:1 technology environment that includes a student learning management system (LMS) used to enhance instruction and meet student needs.
8. Excellent organizational skills, especially in the area of tracking student interventions and monitoring student learning.

Desirable, but not required:
1. Experience teaching dual credit and Advanced Placement courses.
2. A passion for developing students through co-curricular involvement and leadership.
