Qualifications

Individual must have a current educator license on file with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. As such, an individual must possess a Bachelor’s degree, at a minimum. Individuals must have experience working with students in a school setting.

Job Description

Under the supervision of the summer school designated coordinator, instructors will plan, assemble, and execute activities that promote student achievement during the summer school program.

Hours and Schedule

Dates: Monday - Friday / June 17, 2024 - July 19, 2024

Hours: 7:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Student Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Location: Brown Deer High School

Duties

• Plan and execute lesson plans for the assigned course(s).

• Champion positive student behaviors and the importance of the summer school program.

• Collaborate with other instructional and building staff to provide a successful educational program for students.

• Provide direction to classroom assistants and volunteers, if present in the classroom, concerning supporting instruction or student work.

• Maintain communication with summer school administrative staff on the well-being of students and classroom/program needs.

• Maintain a positive and professional relationship with students and parents.

• Support the overall concept of summer learning for students and families.
