KTEC High School is a new public charter school that will be opened its doors to students September 6, 2022. KTEC HS is looking for strong, forward-thinking individuals to build the foundation of the school.

Students at KTEC HS will earn certifications that align with competencies identified by industry. This model prepares students for post-secondary education as was as being workforce ready.  Students will be empowered to develop a strong sense of character, understand how to function collectively within society and be career and future focused.

The ideal candidate would possess the following competencies:

●      Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills

●      Exceptional administrative and organization skills

●       Proficient knowledge of teaching strategies and methods

●      Ability to incorporate goals, competencies and objectives into lesson plans in ways that directly apply to student’s lives

●      Ability to manage diversity

●      Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the administration team

This position will be for a 9-12th grade English instructor who will teach three English classes which are aligned with Gateway’s Foundations of College Writing, Introduction to College Writing, and English Composition 1 class.  These classes will be dual enrollment classes and will utilize Gateway’s syllabus and curriculum to guide in their development.

Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated knowledge of competency-based learning, curriculum development and appropriate credentials to be taught as a transcripted credit course.

 

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred to teach dual enrollment courses
