Description:
The Germantown School District is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) driven and engaging Tech Ed Educator to join the Kennedy Middle School Tech Ed team for the 2024-2025 school year.
Applicants should be enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the content they teach. A thorough understanding of technology education is required to teach 6th-8th grade students.
Applicants must be team-oriented, organized and passionate about building a rapport with students of all learning abilities. It is essential that educators establish and maintain good classroom management to ensure an effective learning atmosphere for all students and staff.
The Middle School Technology Education Department has two full-time tech ed teachers - each with their own classroom with additional connected storage spaces, materials processing labs, robotics labs, and open creative spaces. Teachers have common collaborative and prep time during each school day to facilitate professional growth. Some examples of classes taught between the two teachers are Construction, Manufacturing, PLTW Design & Modeling, Communications, Transportation, PLTW Automation & Robotics. There is room to grow the program through course selection and offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Candidates must hold a valid license to teach technology education in Wisconsin.
2. Project Lead the Way certification preferred. (district may help with this)

The Germantown District is located less than 30 minutes Northwest of Milwaukee, in the South East portion of Washington County. The district consists of 4 Elementary Schools (K-5) Kennedy Middle School (6-8) and Germantown High School (9-12). The district serves approximately 3900 students. Kennedy Middle School has approximately 900 students residing in Germantown and the surrounding communities.
