The School District of La Crosse is accepting applications for a 1.0 FTE Business Education Teacher at Logan Middle School beginning the 2024-2025 school year. The projected start date is August 27, 2024.
Wisconsin certification 1250 is required. Multiple certifications are preferred.
Major responsibilities include:
• Instruct students in business, entrepreneurship, and computer related courses at the middle school level.
• Instruct students in keyboarding and computer applications.
• Conduct classroom instruction based on established curriculum.
• Monitor student performance and behavior and takes appropriate action.
• Participate in the evaluation of curriculum.
• Willingness to assist with various building publications.
• Willingness to work in a team-taught environment.
• Knowledge of and willingness to teach students who may have special needs in any of the following areas: English Language Learners (ELL), Students-at-Risk, Gifted and Talented, and Special Educational Needs, including decision-making skills relating to integration and mainstreaming issues.
• Examples of possible assignments: computer applications, keyboarding, Personal Finance, and Small Business for Teens.
• Ability or interest in advising FBLA and/or DECA.
• Ability or interest in coaching one or more co-curricular/advising activities.
