The Kewaskum School District is seeking a Community-Based Education Coordinator to coordinate and implement the school district’s Academic and Career Planning (ACP), Youth Apprenticeship (YA), community-based, and work-based learning programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Implement a shared vision of Academic and Career Planning that leads to work-based and community-based learning opportunities
  • Act as the Regional Youth Apprenticeship Coordinator
  • Coordinate with the leadership team on course offerings to support career pathways
  • Organize ACP events to enhance the community- and work-based opportunities for students
  • Use and monitor Career and Technical Education (CTE) and other student data to evaluate and modify programming
  • Collaborate with school district staff, businesses, non-profits, universities, technical colleges, and other organizations to develop strong partnerships
QUALIFICATIONS required:
  • 3 years of teaching, counseling, or equivalent community-/work-based programming experience 
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Be committed to meeting the needs of a diverse student population to include all students
  • Have excellent time management skills, flexibility, the ability to work independently and be solution-focused
  • Adhere to a high level of professional and ethical standards
QUALIFICATIONS preferred:
  • DPI license in areas of counseling, career/technical education, or educational administration
  • Experience working with community organizations and businesses
  • Youth Apprenticeship coordination experience
