Wheatland J1 School District is currently seeking a compassionate & innovative Occupational Therapist with the potential to be shared with neighboring school districts. The preferred candidate will plan and provide therapy to students with disabilities  to increase independent functioning by maximizing access and participation in the general education curriculum. Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to: 
1. Test and evaluate students' abilities and analyze data to determine realistic goals and programming.
2. Plan, organize, and implement Occupational Therapy programs.
3. Consult and work closely with the Special Education team and classroom teachers to select activites, programs and coordinate Occupational Therapy with other therapeutic activites. 
4. Observe and assess fine motor development, perpetual development, perceptual development, self-help, oral motor development and sensory processing. 
5. Write reports and maintain proper documentation of information, such as student Medicaid or billing records or caseload activities, including the initial evaluation, treatment, and progress, ensuring confidentiality of all records. 
6. Participate in all IEP and Evaluation meetings for students who qualify for Occupational Therapy services. 
7. Attend in-service training, workshops, or meetings to abreast of current practices or trends in Occupational Therapy.
