QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be Wisconsin DPI certified or eligible to be licensed as a school psychologist.
2. Experience with Data-Based Decision Making and Accountability related to RtI and PBIS models.
3. Will be trained in Professional Development Coaching within the first three years of employment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct Psycho-Educational Evaluations for initial special education identification and re-evaluations when required. Score/interpret results of evaluations; prepare reports and develop recommendations.
2. Case manages initial IEP evaluation team meetings, facilitates the interaction of parents and staff, and explains results and recommendations to parents. Discuss evaluation results with student, teacher, parent, and administrator as appropriate. Support the development of educational goals and programming for students.
3. Complete initial evaluation paperwork, collect reports, and submit to the Director of Special Education.
4. Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and pupil services staff regarding issues related to student learning, behavior, mental health, and social/emotional difficulties.
5. Conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop academic and behavior intervention plans for students.
6. Serve as a member/consultant of the building-level problem-solving teams, data teams, Instructional Leadership Teams, equity leadership, threat assessment teams, and PBIS Tier II/III teams.
7. Participate in research and program evaluation of RtI and PBIS systems.
8. Promote ethical, legal, and professional standards related to the field of school psychology.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
CONTRACT PARAMETERS:
1. Between two hundred six (206) and one hundred ninety-three (193) day contract.
2. Extensive benefits package including health and dental insurance, free InHealth Clinic and physical therapy, long-term disability, payment to Wisconsin Retirement System pension, mileage reimbursement, plus paid vacation time and sick leave.
3. Salary commensurate with experience.
