The School District of Beloit Turner is accepting applications for a full time Speech and Language Pathologist. This position will provide direct services to students at the elementary level. Speech and Language Pathologists are an integral part of our district student services, school, and IEP teams, and will have the opportunity to collaborate with other direct service providers in designing effective programs for individual students. Candidates should demonstrate a strong knowledge of best practices, a willingness to be flexible and collaborate with colleagues in a positive manner, and engage in professional development opportunities to increase student success. This position requires a candidate who is able to write effective IEPs and conduct Speech and Language evaluations. This is a permanent full time position starting in the 2024-25 school year.

 

Important note for experienced educators: Professional Educators may be eligible for sick leave transfer. A maximum of 2 days per year for up to 10 years of experience (max 20 days) may be applied to an individual's sick bank with the School District of Beloit Turner.

 

District:

The School District of Beloit Turner is a comprehensive PreK-12 district serving more than 1,600 students in south-central Wisconsin.  We are known as a district of choice with more than 30% of our student body represented by students who open enroll into our district. 

 

We are a small to midsize sub-urban/rural setting with 3 main campuses.  Powers Elementary serves our early grades (EC and 4K-1st).  Garden Prairie Intermediate School serves grades 2 through 5.  Our middle school and high school have a shared main campus serving grades 6-8 in Turner Middle School and grades 9-12 in the Turner High School.  We are very proud of the safe and secure learning environment we provide our students, staff, and our families.

 

Opportunities for additional compensation:

-$1500/year for Full-Time Special Education Teachers and Related Services Providers

-Grant Revenue Reimbursement (up to $25,000)

Residency:

 

All professional educators who take up initial residency in the School District of Beloit Turner within five years of their hire date as a full-time employee shall be eligible for additional compensation of $2,000. Professional educators receiving compensation for moving into the District shall agree to maintain District residency for a minimum of four years or repay the District at a rate of $500 for each year they fail to remain in the District – a professional educator who leaves the District two years after receiving this incentive would owe the District $1,000.
