The School District of New Lisbon seeks a full-time Interventionist and At-Risk Teacher. This position is a multi-faceted position which includes providing reading and math intervention to students in grades 4th-6th as well as providing At-Risk services to high school students through a daily study skills class. Candidates for this position will have the ability to work well with older elementary students as well as high school students at-risk for not graduating. The At-Risk teacher is an integral member of the intervention team reviewing data, planning interventions, and monitoring progress for students that are serviced. The chosen candidate for this position will be a positive and proactive team-member with the ability to improve outcomes for diverse learners.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Plans and implements reading and math interventions for students in grades 4-6 according to RtI team recommendations.

2. Coordinates with the intervention team and paraprofessional staff to meet students’ needs within the classroom and during intervention time.

3. Monitors student progress according to the intervention schedule to determine intervention success.

4. Coordinates High School At-Risk Study Skills program.

5. Develops and implements plans for English Language Learners (less than 1% of our student population).

6. Collaborates with district staff, colleagues, and parents.

7. Participates in professional development activities.


Candidate will have an active teaching license or ability to obtain license. 


District Description: The School District of New Lisbon is an Early Childhood - Grade 12 district located all in one building, with a total population of 575 students. The District employs 100 dedicated and talented professional staff members. The district staff work in a positive and collaborative environment using the PLC model.
