The Verona Area School District is seeking applicants for the following position.
Bilingual Secretary
Verona Area School District Aquatic Center
1.0 FTE; 40 hours/week; 12 month year-round position
Position to begin as soon as possible
Starting wage of $29.33 per hour
Duties include but are not limited to: The Aquatics Secretary - Bilingual provides secretarial and clerical support to the administrative and teaching staff while performing a wide range of tasks in support of the aquatics facilities. The Secretary – Bilingual also provides language support to students, staff, and families and limited translation and interpretation support to the site, as appropriate, while responding to a broad range of inquiries and requests about school activities,  records, and procedures.

Education: minimum of a high school diploma with additional secretarial/office training  and customer service desired. Prefer training in adult, infant, and child CPR, First  Aid, and use of AED.  Will need to gain certification within the first three months of hiring.

Experience: 1-3 years of secretarial or office experience required, knowledge of  computer software desired. Experience in Canva creating flyers, social media posts desired.

Must be able to speak, read and write fluently and effectively in the target language.  Knowledge and experience in the culture(s) of the target language is highly desirable. 

Ability to multitask different responsibilities and projects at one time.

Strong creative mindset and the ability to pivot swiftly in dynamic environments. Can think innovatively, adapt to changing circumstances seamlessly, and bring a fresh perspective to overcome challenges effectively.

Requires bilingual (Spanish) skills and abilities.
