The Lake Geneva School District is looking for energetic, enthusiastic, passionate, creative, and caring Wisconsin DPI Certified Teachers to be a part of our 2024 Kids’ Academy.  Our Kids’ Academy is a new summer initiative for our Lake Geneva Community.  Kids’ Academy will be a combination of academics as well as enrichment activities that allow the students of the greater Lake Geneva Area to have fun, learn, and interact with their peers throughout the summer months of June and July.

The Lake Geneva Schools’ Kids’ Academy will run from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM for two consecutive weeks in June (6/17/2024 – 6/28/2024) and July (7/8/2024 – 7/19/2024).  The day will have a set schedule that will consist of academic classes (ELA and Mathematics) as well as enrichment classes (Science Activities, Physical Education Activities, Arts and Crafts Activities, Gaming and Hobby Type of activities, etc.).  A schedule will be created and the students will rotate through the various classes on a daily basis.  The elementary Kids’ Academy will involve the grade levels 5K through 5th grade students.

Our structure allows you some wonderful flexibility in your summer schedule.  This program will allow you the choice of working either a full day or a half-day.  You can work just one week or you can share your skills all four weeks (or anywhere in between).  There is also a choice of what classes you wish to teach.  You can teach ELA classes, math classes, or enrichment classes.  You can also change what classes you would like to teach if you are interested in teaching more than one week.  All Wisconsin DPI Certified Staff will earn $28.00 per hour for their services.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Supervision of students during class hours

• Developing and implementing engaging classes and activities that keep students active and engaged

• Helping get students to and from lunch and lunch recess times

• Assist with arrival (8:00 AM) and dismissal (3:00 PM) procedures
