The School District of Eleva-Strum is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist (.6 FTE) to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional services to students beginning with 2024-2025 school year. As a School Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of our diverse student population. Responsibilities:

Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' strengths and challenges related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
Collaborate with other members of the educational team to gather information and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Intervention Planning and Implementation:
Develop and implement effective, evidence-based intervention plans to address students' individual needs.
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, either individually or in group settings, to enhance their functional abilities.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to promote a holistic approach to student development.
Communicate regularly with team members to discuss progress, modifications, and adjustments to intervention plans.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring.
Prepare written reports for IEP meetings and other relevant documentation as required.
Professional Development:
Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in occupational therapy and special education.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Experience working with school-aged children in an educational setting preferred.
