Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESAs) are designed to provide high-quality and innovative educational services to students and educators. There are 12 regional Cooperative Educational Service Agencies in Wisconsin. CESA 9 is located in Tomahawk, Wisconsin and serves 22 school districts in Northcentral Wisconsin. CESAs make it possible for schools, regardless of size, to work together to share staff and equipment, save money, and extend educational opportunities for all children. Our catalog of services includes a wide range of support to help meet the needs of our school districts.

On behalf of the Wisconsin Virtual School (WVS), the Middle School Teacher is a practitioner who facilitates synchronous (live) online learning for middle school students. You will work collaboratively with asynchronous teachers and the Associate Director of WVS Plus to provide a quality online learning experience for learners. You are expected to provide reasonable extra duty services and are encouraged to schedule appropriate prep time.
Performance Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and implement instruction to students enrolled in the WVS Middle School PLUS
supplemental online program

Create and maintain appropriate and engaging videos and screencast resources
-
Deliver live instruction tied to state standards and content scope and sequence
-
Establish effective online instructional procedures
-
Provide high-quality, timely feedback on student work, progress, and attendance
-
Communicate regularly with students, guardians, district coaches, and other personnel
-
Work collaboratively and create a positive professional impact
-
Adhere to agency, departmental, and district policies and procedures
-
Contribute to the community of practice efforts in areas of education
-
Work with other internal teams to enhance WVS middle school offerings
-
Uphold the mission of CESA 9 by providing responsive services, trusting partnerships, and being recognized as an exceptional practitioner

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
-
The ideal candidate will hold a Wisconsin DPI license covering grades 1-8; however, at minimum, the applicant must hold a Wisconsin DPI license for grades 4-8.

Minimum of two years online teaching experience
-
Demonstrated ability and effectiveness in teaching, assessment of learning, and instructional planning

Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver effective live instruction and facilitate asynchronous online learning

Practical application and use of a Student Information System (SIS), preferred experience with Genius SIS
-
Successful application of a Learning Management System (LMS) in an online learning environment, preferred experience with Buzz LMS
-
Preferred knowledge of and experience with Flexpoint (FLVS) online curriculum
-

Must be able to have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on computer and/or related office equipment

Must be visible on camera and use body language effectively
