Speech and Language Therapist - Vacancy ID: 196425

The Oconto Falls School District is seeking a full-time Speech/Language Therapist for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year.  We have a team of 5 speech therapists who support students in our schools, so looking for our 5th team member for next school year.  Applicants with a passion for helping children overcome a variety of communication barriers to reach their full potential are encouraged to apply.  This position will be focused at the elementary level, but could include supporting students at other developmental levels. 

Desired Qualifications:
* Desire to be a member of a team of dynamic speech/therapists and professional educators
* Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents and staff
* Demonstrate successful experience in providing effective speech therapy individually and in small groups
* Demonstrate successful experience in completing comprehensive speech language evaluations and knowledge of how to utilize the DPI guidance for evaluating students for speech/language
impairments or related service provision
* Demonstrate a strong knowledge base in supporting students with various disabilities or delays that could impede the student’s ability to communicate effectively
* Possess a positive attitude and sense of humor
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to shift when schedule changes are needed
* Strong interpersonal skills, including effective and professional written and verbal communication
* Proficiency with different types of Assistive Technology equipment that supports communication with students
* Have background and knowledge of writing effective and appropriate IEP programming and following the IEP legal process/procedures
* Desire to be a member of a team and successful experience working on a team in an educational setting
* Bilingual/ELL experience/skills is a plus
