The South Shore School District seeks a dynamic instructional leader in our Business Education Department who is committed to continuous improvement and passionate about serving students and families.  

Experience teaching a variety of business courses is desired as the specific teaching course load will be crafted to fit the skill set of the chosen candidate. Current high school offerings include: Personal Finance, Life Skills, Microsoft Word and Excel, and Entrepreneurship. Part of this role would include leadership with developing a school store, overseeing concessions, and reviving the student newspaper.

The ideal candidate for this teaching position will be familiar with state and professional academic standards and have a firm grasp on impactful teaching practices. Candidates will be skilled collaborators and join a school community committed to the PLC process and living our mission for all students. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate successful use of assessment data to guide instruction and foster student-ownership for learning. 

Qualifications: 

* WI DPI business education license 1250, marketing education license 1285 or working to obtain one.

* Familiarity with state standards in all relevant subject area disciplines;

* The ability to present lesson plans that are relevant, rigorous, differentiated, and integrate curriculum;

* Creativity, innovation and enthusiasm;

* Knowledge of the tenets of a professional learning community;

* The ability to analyze, synthesize, and obtain and use data to support and enhance student academic learning;

* Understand the use of technologies that can personalize learning for students and enhance critical thinking 

* The ability to provide a safe, positive and engaging learning environment for students;

* A positive approach to problem-solving, collaboration, teamwork, and respect
