Full Time
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual for our Food Service Department at Pecatonica Middle School/High School located in Blanchardville, WI. This individual should demonstrate professional behavior and promote positive relationships with student, parents, staff, and otheers to build customer support for school food service programs.
Work hours: 6:30 - 3:00 (30 minute duty-free lunch), Monday - Friday while school is in session.
Salary is negotiable based upon qualifications and experience but will be no less than $16.00 per hour.
This position is eligible for benefits which include health, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance. The Districts also offers a $5,000 taxable annuity payment annually for employees who do not take health insurance.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Use dishwasher and other equipment in a safe manner. Inspect equipment for cleanliness and functional operation
- Prepare and serve food following sanitary guidelines
- Clean equipment and kitchen areas
- Prepare, serve, and store food products
- Determine serving sizes to meet state requirements
- Conduct inventories
- Knowledge of food service lines set-up and temerature requirements
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards
- Order food and supplies weekly
- Accept deliveries from vendors
- Attend necessary food service related trainings and meetings as necessary
- Plan monthly breakfast and lunch menus considering student appeal, cost, and state/federal requirements
- Perform such other duties as assigned

- Must possess a high school diploma. Preference will be given to those candidates with college degree
- Must have basic computer skills and be able to multi-task
- Previous experience with large scale cooking and food preparation/serving a plus
- Maintain a valid drivers license and the ability to drive between district buildings, if necessary
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without restrictions
- Must have demonstrated the ability to work cooperative within a team environment
- Must be motivated and willing to undertake and learn new tasks
