The mission of Wisconsin Virtual Academies is to provide an exemplary individualized and engaging educational experience for students by incorporating school and community/family partnerships coupled with a rigorous curriculum along with a data-driven and student-centered instructional model. Student success will be measured by valid and reliable assessment data, parent and student satisfaction, and continued institutional growth within the academic community.
This is a full-time year-round position. Ability to work independently, typically 40 hours per week is required. Ability to work from a professional home office.
Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
• Provide support to students and learning coaches as relates to onboarding of a new student and their learning coach
• Recognize, and through the exercise of discretion and independent judgment along with adherence to policy, when student/family situations and circumstance require differentiated assistance and implement said assistance
• Assess hardware, learning coach and student login and send appropriate documentation prior to start date
• Create auto dialer, welcome letter and PowerPoint to Facilitate an onboarding process for new students
• Create and moderate live class connect sessions in Newrow virtual classroom to orient students to the learning management system and deliver critical information relevant to student’s grade-band.
• Serves as a main point of contact for all non-instructional issues during first week of school, ensuring students have all necessary equipment and know both how and when to access their courses
• Monitor student participation and work to contact students who do not attend
• Outreach to late starting or missing students by phone, email or text to ensure strong start
• Document attendance and completion of Online Learning Course in Strong Start Tracker
• Actively monitor written communication during orientation and respond to student/learning coach accordingly
• Coordinate with Mentor team to ensure students become acquainted with their assigned Mentor
• Provide continued orientation support to students and learning coaches as needed following initial Strong Start programming
• Support completion of universal screener assessment
• Add notes to Strong Start Tracker regarding issues any student in orientation may be experiencing
• Send recordings and PDFs to students who have missed live sessions and document accordingly in

• Collaborate with various departments to support student needs
• Facilitate and/or support learning coach workshops
• Work closely with Operations Manager and Principals to support the rapidly changing needs of our Strong Start onboarding program
• Provide support with student connection calls when applicable
• Provide support with re-registration efforts

Minimum Required Qualifications
• Two (2) years of college AND
• Two (2) years of experience in education OR
• Equivalent combination of education and related experience
• All clearances and background checks as required to work in a Wisconsin state school
Minimum Required Skill Set
• Strong presentation, facilitation and organization skills
• Interpersonal skills to create collaborative, working relationships with essential school stakeholders • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); Web proficiency.
• An ability to learn new technology tools quickly
