Ready to start your career as a Human Resources Professional? Have an interest in gaining real-world experience with one of Northeast Wisconsin’s largest employers? Consider applying for our newly created HR Intern position, starting January, 2024. In this position you will have the opportunity to join a dynamic team of caring human resources professionals who work each and every day to support the success of our public school district’s work force.

This position is flexible to accomodate full to part time hours, based on availability. This position is limited term through approximately late summer/early fall. This position is not benefit eligible.

Notifies appropriate departments of information impacting their work.
Support external and internal processes and audits (benefits, EEOC, personnel records).
Assembles, updates and verifies employee files to ensure accurate data for analytics and file management for compliance.
Follow-up with missing documents required for personnel files. Consults with members of the HR team to ensure that work is completed accurately and timely.
Assist other HR staff as department needs dictate.
Refers questions to appropriate HR management or staff.
Posts, updates, and removes job ads from job boards and careers pages.
Completes employment and education verification requests.
Follows safe practices and adheres to safety standards.
Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications Required: Education: Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a program working towards an Associate's degree and/or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources; valid driver’s license

Qualifications Desired: Education: Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field

Skills: Spanish Bilingual
