The Antigo School District is seeking applicants for a cross categorical special education teaching positions to serve students at an Elementary, 4K-3 building and the Antigo Middle School. We are seeking someone who is innovative in their approaches to serving students through an equity lens and wants to be a part of the USDA's mission and vision of creating an inclusive learning community for each and every one of our students and staff!

Essential qualities for this position include:
The ability to work with regular education teachers and other pupil service staff within a professional learning community to develop rigorous and relevant learning experiences for all students based on their disability related needs.
The desire and ability to advocate for equitable access to classrooms while utilizing curriculum and strategies that are appropriate for diverse learners
The ability to build positive relationships with students, families and community partners.
Co-lead a team of instructional assistants
The ability to provide high quality accommodations and modification for students to access the general content and environment
Understanding of and experience with trauma sensitive practices is highly desired

Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction license required: (1801) Cross-Categorical
Or a combination of: (1810) Cognitive Disabilities, (1830) Emotional Behavior Disorders, (1811) Learning Disabilities (1811)

Qualifications:
~ Experience working with students with diverse needs, including students with mental health, Autism, learning, or behavioral needs
~ Knowledge in designing and conducting Individual Educational Plans (IEPs)
~ Knowledge of RTI systems in both behavior and academic, using data to drive instruction
~ Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care and the DPI approved Social Emotional Learning standards preferred
