Seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the administrative team for the planning year of the Red Granite Charter School founded on the core principles of Public Waldorf Education. A love for working with colleagues in a collaborative and supportive manner and openness to the unexpected is essential. This key position will provide pedagogical leadership, curriculum, and classroom development for the school community during its planning year under the direction of the Governance Board and lead Contractors. This person holds the vision of the school, ensuring the quality of the curriculum and creating a spirit of collaboration and mutual support with all those involved in the planning. They will also support the school’s healthy growth and development through cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with the Governance Board, Contractors, Principal, potential parents, other partners, and the broader community. This position has the potential to transition into a Lead Teacher for the school.
Minimum Qualifications:
1) Appropriate Wisconsin DPI licensure for the position
a) Three-plus years of teaching experience, preferably in a Waldorf School
b) Experience in curriculum development
c) Educational leadership desired
2) Experience/training/certification in Waldorf education desired
3) Must demonstrate effective communication skills – oral, written, and technological; time management, organizational, and group facilitation skills; communication skills among diverse audiences, including students, staff, board, and community partners
4) Experience working cross-culturally and/or commitment to work toward improving one’s own cultural proficiency: valuing difference/diversity, recognizing personal limitations in one’s skills and expertise, and having the desire to learn in these areas
5) Demonstrate leadership experience that enriches a strong and positive school community, inspires and motivates staff, and sees the unique individual in each student
6) Demonstrate alignment to the Core Principles of Public Waldorf Education and the vision and mission of the school
7) Acceptable background check

The goal of the Red Granite Charter School is to ensure that all community members can engage in academic pursuits, obtain and maintain employment, and utilize services without experiencing discrimination based on the Wisconsin Fair Employment Law.
The Red Granite Charter School Governance Board does not discriminate in the employment of professional staff on the basis of any characteristic protected under State or Federal law, including, but not limited to, race, color, age, genetic information, sex, creed or religion, handicap or disability, marital status, citizenship status, veteran status, military service (as defined in 111.32, Wis.
