The Green Bay Area Public School District is searching for applicants for a Print Center Machine Operator at our Auxiliary Services Building. Our goal is to provide services and support to the board, administration, staff, teachers and students of the Green Bay Area Public School District. We accomplish this by providing professional printing, copying and bindery/finishing. We believe all students should be provided information and communication to ensure that they reach their highest potential. This position will follow a standard secretary job description and also include additional essential functions pertinent to the position. Some specific responsibilities for the Print Center Machine Operator include: 1. Know capabilities of all print center equipment and types of supplies for all print center jobs. 2. Know how to set up, adjust and operate all print center equipment. 3. Monitor and manage supplies. 4. Process production forms and maintain records. 5. Work with others in a team atmosphere. 6. Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. 7. Maintain established filing system by coding documents for alphabetic or numeric filing, cross-referencing documents, locating and refiling documents, and making direct file transfers. 8. Compile information or data for reports and collate materials. 9. Receive, process and send shipments. 10. Satisfy customer requirement for reprographic services. 11. Clean and maintain assigned equipment, perform minor maintenance where necessary and keep the equipment in good running order. 12. Process duplicating requests. 13. Monitor copy quality of equipment and make adjustments when necessary. 14. Operate multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously; 15. Perform other job-related tasks as directed. 16. Schedule equipment repair as required 17. Archive print materials on shared drive for reuse 18. Set up and maintain computer equipment keeping Office suite and Adobe creative cloud up to date 19. Combining and modifying documents from multiple pdfs 20. Back-up for padding, 2/3 part forms, envelopes, color printing, and hard-copies. Working Conditions: 1. Work involves disruptions of daily schedule, with flexibility to adjust to continuously changing situations. 2. Work involves frequent deadlines under pressure to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Qualifications Required: Education: - High School Diploma Experience: - Prior experience operating modern office machines, including latest technology (i.e., network printers, computers, fax machines, etc.) - Experience working with electronic forms of communication Competency: - Proficiency in areas such as: punctuation, arithmetic, grammar, proofreading, spelling, filing, typing, word processing, and spreadsheets - Demonstrated proficiency on network printers and computers - Excellent organizational and customer service skills Qualifications Desired: Experience: - Two (2) years in a print shop environment
