The Ellsworth Community School District is hiring an ELL Support staff person which can either be an ELL Teacher, Teaching Assistant or Interpreter. General Responsibilities: ELL Teacher: Collaborate with ELL Coordinator and teaching staff on the instruction of students in the ELL program; Support EL student population with an emphasis on language and skill development; Monitor and respond to EL’s achievement using assessment data; Provide direct support for EL’s within classrooms; Provide 1-1 or small group pull-out English Instruction. Teaching Assistant: Assist teachers with subject area content. Assist small groups of students or individuals with the interpretation and completion of assignments. Spanish Interpreter: This position includes interpreting of communication to students. Qualifications: Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish, ability to work cooperatively in a variety of settings with professional staff, students, and parents and strong academic skills. Licensing requirements: Teacher holds a license in a subject area and seeks the 023 license as a supplemental license, Teaching Assistant and Interpreter - no license required.
