eAchieve Academy is seeking an innovative and empathetic individual who cares deeply about serving students to join our student support team. The ideal candidate loves collaborating and working with a diverse group of learners, families, and staff and demonstrates a strong moral imperative to work in the best interest of children. eAchieve Academy and eAcheve Elementary are the School District of Waukesha’s virtual charter schools, serving over 1000 students online in grades 4K-12 from across Wisconsin. eAchieve provides an equitable education by understanding how marginalization and deficit thinking in education are connected to limited student achievement, striving to remove barriers and provide access for all learners.
EXAMPLES / DUTIES:
~Collaborate with the Student Services Coordinator to develop and implement an effective student support system to include:
~Onboarding new students and hosting weekly group orientation sessions
~Mentoring new students during the semester.
~Instruct students during regularly scheduled individual meetings to provide academic, technical, or other support as needed.
~Monitor student progress to determine the intensity of support needed and duration of support.
~Have a basic understanding of courses and how to direct students to the appropriate resources
~Work with teachers to obtain or develop strategies and resources to help students.
~Monitor achievement, participation, and other relevant student data.
~Identify students for more support via the SST/PST process, attend all meetings, and prepare reports
Part-Time Student Support to include:
~Track participation for PT students.
~Facilitate in-building orientations.
~Maintain a physical presence in SDW schools to provide ongoing student support.
New Student Support
~Create and send summer communications and orientations for incoming students.
~Assist with in-person and online recruitment events such as information sessions, open houses, and family events.
~ Other duties as directed
