Special education early childhood/primary teacher - Vacancy ID: 191773

The Mineral Point and Pecatonica School district have a shared full-time special education teacher position that will be split time between the early childhood program in the morning and primary elementary grades in the afternoon. The candidate will work out of the Mineral Point Elementary School every day. The position will fill out the remainder of the 23-24 school year. The desired candidate will need to be skilled at: * Creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for early childhood and primary elementary students with varying degrees of special needs * Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of students * Collaborating with other teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide a successful, inclusive educational experience * Monitoring and assessing student progress using evidence based strategies and tools, making necessary adjustments to instructional strategies * Providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and growth * Communicating positively and effectively with families to encourage engagement with and understanding of their child’s growth and development Pyramid Model Training is a preferred Non Violent Crisis Intervention training is preferred
