The Green Bay Area Public School District is seeking an 11-month Associate Principal interested in joining our knowledgeable and collaborative staff, working to ensure every student is prepared to be college, career and community ready. This position has the opportunity to join a dynamic Administrative Team at Preble High School. Associate Principals directly champion a number of building focuses and tasks. This position is anticipated to serve as our Special Education Building Administrator as well as serve as a primary contact for an alphabet of student last names.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education: Master’s Degree in Educational Administration or related field and WI Department of Public Instruction Administrative License (K-12 Principal).
Experience: Minimum of 3 years successful teaching experience; Additional qualifications and or experience may be required as determined by the Superintendent.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: Some experience in school administration.
Essential Functions:
1. Supervises and evaluates teachers, aides and clerical personnel as assigned by principal.
2. Supervises the reporting and monitoring of students attendance by working with the Attendance Manager and Truant Officer for follow-up action.
3. Monitors student behavior and assists in maintaining discipline.
4. Coordinates the use of school facilities for academic and non-academic purposes.
5. Assumes responsibility for coordinating and supervising monitors and other support staff.
6. Assists in the supervision of students in the lunchroom, hall, buses, etc.
7. Implements the District’s Drug and Alcohol Policy.
8. Participates in curriculum planning, implementation and evaluation, sometimes chairing various committees.
9. Serves as the principal in the absence of the building principal.
10. Assists the principal in the overall administration and management of the school providing input for budget preparation and long-range planning.
11. Works with parents, faculty and groups as requested.
12. Confers with staff, students and parents regarding attendance, discipline and the academic progress of the student.
13. Performs such scheduling and recordkeeping as directed by the principal.
14. Responds to requests for information from staff, building principal, counselors and central office personnel.
15. Attends and supervises all aspects of co-curricular activities after school hours as necessary to ensure adequate supervision.
16. Performs such others tasks and assumes such other responsibilities that the principal may assign.
