LMC Director Country View Elementary School 1.0 FTE This position will begin as soon as possible. This position enables students and staff to become effective users of information and ideas by providing, promoting and teaching written and online resources. They encourage growth and teach the aspects of being independent readers and “lifelong learners.” Requirements include but are not limited to: Prior experience with the planning of the school library media program, providing instructional services, resources, and guidance to students and staff, providing services, resources and guidelines in instruction, and promoting professional reading for staff. Experience with library collection development, purchasing and budget management. Must possess strong communication and organizational skills and be a team player who enjoys collaboration on a variety of projects. Prior experience conducting professional development for teachers in the area of technology integration and student research is a plus. Appropriate certification required or ability to be licensed. Knowledge of AASL standards and Future Ready Librarian framework Experience or knowledge with the components of personalized learning is a plus. Experience with PBIS, Responsive Classroom, and culturally relevant pedagogy preferred Experience with developing a collection of culturally relevant texts that supports children to develop a positive racial identity and reflects their own race, culture, and experiences is a plus.
