The Ripon Area School District is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time special education student support staff (formerly known as aide or teacher assistant) serving students in Ripon High School. The position would primarily be working with freshmen and sophomores, supporting in general education classes as well as resource classes. This position will work closely with various teachers in Special Education and General Education in grades 9-12. The position is approximately 35 hours per week during the school year when children are present.

Qualified candidates will hold (or be able to obtain) a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Special Education Program Aide License and demonstrate the following:
Develop and deliver high-quality education for students based on individual needs
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate well with all staff and students
Attention to details and timeliness
Ability to collect, use and monitor student data
Ability to be flexible, organized, team player and advocate for students
You will join an excellent, collaborative team of experienced, supportive Special Education teachers and therapists. Ripon has excellent facilities and materials available for serving students with special needs. Details of the job may vary depending on the candidate’s strengths and talents. The district will provide all training necessary for this position. A special education program aide license is required, but can be obtained upon hire.
Wage is $15.90 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, paid sick time, a personal day, Wisocnsin retirement fund and more.
