Job Description: The School District of Baraboo is seeking a full-time Director of Human Resources and will provide competitive salary commensurate with training, education and experience. This position holds a 260 working days contract. The Director of Human Resources will provide leadership in the development and administration of human resource functions for the District, assist with implementation of the Employee Handbook and teacher compensation system, and provide other management assistance to administrators and the school board. The Director of Human Resources, with direction and oversight from the Superintendent and Director of Business Services, leads human resources practices and objectives that will enhance the human resource operations. Some of the duties under this position include managing/coordination of hiring processes, ensuring compliance with state and federal workplace rules and guidelines, developing and implementing personnel policies, assisting staff with certification and licensure requirements, preparing and submitting federal, state and local reports, and overall responsibility for the administration of the compensation and benefit systems in the District. Qualifications: Minimally qualified applicants will have a master’s degree in educational leadership/administration or human resources. Additionally, have a successful experience working in public education and familiarity with the Wisconsin school employment law and state statute. Preferred applicants will have three to five years of successful administrative experience in Human Resources.
