Year-Round, Full Time, 2nd shift, 4:30 pm - 1:00 am, Monday - Friday
Full Time
Position will also rotate to 1st and 3rd shift as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Performs all functions necessary to keep Greenheck Turner Community Center safe, clean, well maintained, and ready for district and community use.
• Operates and maintains ice machine and ice related equipment.
• Receives training and proper certifications for ice machine and resurfacing (training provided throughout the year).
• Completes all phases of required cleaning schedule for all areas assigned within the time provided.
• Provides excellent customer service for events, organizations, and renting groups.
• Knows and understands cleaning procedures for assigned area.
• Knows, understands, and inspects all building systems.
• Maintains appropriate inventory and organization of all custodial and maintenance supplies.
• Checks in material received at the building.
• Coordinates with Greenheck Turner Community Center staff and other employees for events and activities.
• Maintains all equipment and vehicles.
• Moves furniture and equipment as required for various activities, or as directed.
• Removes snow and operates all snow removal equipment.
• Reports equipment and system malfunctions to supervisor.
• Operates cleaning equipment and grounds care equipment.
• Performs all phases of grounds maintenance.
• Performs carpentry work and minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Cleans and maintains boilers and HVAC equipment.
• Makes repairs and adjustments to HVAC equipment and systems.
• Follows safety procedures and monitors the work environment for safety concerns.
• Accepts responsibility for the general security of the building.
• Assists other Facility Maintenance Technicians and district custodians as needed.
• Trains and directs student employees.
• Implements summer cleaning schedule.
• Sets up new equipment and furniture.
• Inspects roof and makes minor repairs.
• Replaces glass.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE
• $20.50 per hour
• $2 per hour additional shift premium on Sundays
• Paid time off including 18 paid time off days, 15 vacation days, and 9 holidays (prorated from start date through June 30, 2024).

WHAT IT TAKES
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Custodial experience.
• Ability to complete tasks with minimal direction and supervision.
• Ability to organize tasks, manage time, and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to work effectively with other employees, students, community groups, and the public.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize work responsibilities and delegate to others as needed.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 60 lbs. and occasionally over 60 lbs.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to push, pull, and crouch on a regular basis.
• Training and experience in building maintenance preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience with demonstrated goal achievement and application of creative solutions to problem solving preferred.
• Flexible availability required.
