Long-term Speech and Language Pathologist - District, 1.0 FTE
The Stevens Point Area Public School District is currently seeking a substitute certified in Speech and Language. Anticipated dates are 1/22/24 - 4/15/24
You will work in 2 of our elementary schools.

Fidelis Consulting Service employs our substitutes and they will help you with the WECAN application and guide you through their hiring process.

Job Description & Responsibilities:
The role and responsibility of the Substitute Teacher includes, but not limited to:
1. Assesses students' communication skills (e.g. articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment.
2. Instructs individuals and groups in skill areas determined appropriate by the IEP team.
3. Teaches content and skills to assigned student utilizing district curricula and approved courses of study.
4. Provides appropriate diagnostic testing, identifies student capabilities and monitors student progress.
5. May evaluate student progress based on test scores and observation.

Requirements:
• Associates, Bachelors Degree or higher
• Classroom experience preferred but not required
• Criminal History Background Check - both State and Federal
• Excellent communication skills
• Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction License
