Oconto Unified School District is Hiring!!! MENTAL HEALTH NAVIGATOR This is a full-time position following a teacher's schedule (Will work on Professional Development Days and be off on holiday breaks) with an extended contract for ten (10) days in the summer. This person is responsible for providing, coordinating, and monitoring student services following local, state, and federal standards. The navigator must understand, support, and work within the district's values, mission, and vision. Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) preferred Some job duties include: **Will act as the Homeless Liaison for the district. **Provide outreach and/or crisis intervention to individuals and families. **Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs. **Consult and collaborate with district staff and outside resources to ensure ongoing communication and service coordination. **Develop resources and programming to meet individual and family needs. **Participate in a staff development program to enhance professional skills and knowledge through training and ongoing performance evaluations. **Assist in writing grants and funding proposals to support existing services and develop new programs and community resources. **Prepare for and respond to community emergencies including, but not limited to, natural and manmade disasters. **Utilizes a family systems approach when working with families and effects change through strength-based practices that utilize and enhance the family's natural, informal supports. **Knowledge of and/or interest in Trauma Informed Care principles and practices; demonstrates a solid commitment to fostering a positive, healthy work culture.
