WHAT YOU’LL DO • Performs daily concession responsibilities, including: opening and closing of the Fan Stand, sell and stock products, wash dishes, portion food, clean and sanitize equipment and surfaces, complete daily check lists and daily cash reports. • Assures that sanitation and safety practices in all phases of the food service operation and meet established standards. • Utilizes proper food storage methods for the refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage areas. • Communicates with immediate supervisor in a timely manner via email or telephone with concerns, issues or discrepancies during your shift. • Maintains a pleasant and helpful manner when interacting with customers, members, guests and staff. • Work as a team member to help meet the goals of serving the community through Greenheck-Turner Community Center. • Independently runs family programmed events, such as: bounce house night, public skate nights, public climbing wall and birthday parties with a professional pleasant demeanor and willingness to go above and beyond for our customers, with safety as top priority. • Proper set up and take down of family programmed events by following prepared instructions, using time management, proper storage, equipment inspection and cleanliness. • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. HOURS • Primarily school year, summer opportunities available with a flexible schedule. • This is a part-time position for one or two weekday evenings and weekends, averaging 10-15 hours • Weekday hours range between 2:45 pm – 8:30 pm • Weekend hours vary depending on scheduled events HOURLY WAGE $13.00-$15.00 per hour based on experience. WHAT IT TAKES • Must be at least 15 years of age (students aged 14 may be considered). • Training in cashier-type duties, able to make arithmetic computations. • Knowledgeable in use and care of kitchen utensils and equipment. • Stamina to stand and/or walk for long periods of time. • Able to lift and carry objects up to fifty (50) pounds. • Able to work well with staff members, custodians, parents, students, and community groups.
