The Mineral Point Unified School District is looking for a teacher to work in the special education department for first semester. The position supports students at both the elementary and middle school level. This position supports both the academic and social emotional learning needs of students identified with a disability. Candidates should have a desire to work towards, and in, a student-centered personalized learning environment. Qualified candidates will: Develop relationships and support all students in their academic, social, and emotional success Develop, prepare, and implement best practices and appropriate services based on student needs Use data to adapt teaching methods, instructional materials and assessment strategies to meet the varying needs and interests of individual learners Foster an inclusive model for special education Engage with families through communication and collaboration towards shared goals Work collaboratively with staff and administration Mineral Point Unified School District serves approximately 750 students in grades Pre-K through 12 in the beautiful driftless region of Southwest WI (45 minutes to Madison, 45 Minutes to Dubuque).
