Arrowhead High School is seeking a long-term substitute teacher to perform the duties of a regular education teacher during a leave of absence (approximately November 10, 2023 thru February 1, 2024). The hours for this position are 9:30am-2:36pm, Monday-Friday. The long-term substitute would be responsible for teaching one section of Advanced Placement US History (juniors and seniors) and two sections of on-level US History (sophomores). He/she will also teach a History of Western Civilizations class (sophomores) in the second semester. The ideal candidate should have previous classroom experience, a history degree or certification (preferred but not required or Social Studies license), and experience planning lessons.
