The Unified School District of Antigo is hiring for a Behavior Strategist, grade level TBD, for the 2023-2024 school year, which is to be funded by ESSER III.
QUALIFICATIONS: Valid WI Educator License or Commensurate experience and knowledge in behavior management, classroom management, intervention implementation
JOB GOAL: Assistance to support teachers within the classroom to promote proactive strategies for students. Individualized student support available as identified within the support system in collaboration with teaching and pupil services staff.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support staff in proactive strategies to support students with behavior/communication needs
Implement and guide staff in using regulation spaces within classrooms
Support the implementation of PBIS, SEL curriculum, mental health initiatives
Implement (with collaboration of administrator) safe room/sensory room
Collaborate with pupil services staff/teaching staff regarding the USDA Academic/behavior support system at all tiers
Collaborate with families, students and outside resources as necessary
Conduct functional behavior assessments and support the creation of behavior plans in collaboration with pupil services staff
Create behavior intervention plans (BIP) and work with staff to implement and manage
Follow up meetings regarding student study teams (SST), FBA, BIP
Organize, communicate and train staff in using the b.e.s.t. Screening, or other universal behavioral screener as determined by the district
