WHAT YOU'LL DO • Places and receives telephone calls and records messages. • Maintains and updates all records in the Community Services office. • Types new releases, flyers, brochures, and other promotions for events and activities scheduled at the Greenheck Field House and for the Community Services program. • Maintains all office and program supplies as needed. • Registers all Community Services and Greenheck Field House participants for preschool, youth, and adult programs. • Obtains, gathers, and organizes appropriate data for various reports and surveys. • Responds to requests for information regarding Greenheck Field House and Community Services programs. • Processes incoming correspondence and mail. • Assists with updating mailing lists. • Assists in maintaining communication with community agencies regarding updated program information or organization information. • Processes use of facility applications. • Assists with maintaining a master calendar of community use for all school buildings, including the Greenheck Field House. • Prepares a weekly calendar of events in the school district buildings and sends to appropriate administrative and school personnel. • Maintains an orderly filing system. • Responds to requests for information, printing materials, creating forms, etc. from the Director of Community Services & Special Projects, teachers, and supervisors. • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. POSITION INFORMATION • $15.00 per hour • Year-round part-time position, up to 15 hours per week • Work schedule is 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm (start flexible) Monday-Friday. • There are no benefits offered with this position. This position is funded by the Greenheck Turner Community Center Fund 80. WHAT IT TAKES • High school graduation or its equivalent with training in office methods and procedures. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. • Ability to troubleshoot basic computer and printing problems. • Must possess typing proficiency. • Ability to effectively utilize the phone in dealing with the public. • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate and complete records and reports. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working and public relationships. • Good oral, written, and network communication skills. • Ability to follow oral and written instruction with a minimum amount of direct supervision. • Capable of designing and implementing office practices and procedures under the direction of the Director of Community Services & Specialist Projects. • Bookkeeping experience helpful. • Office work experience preferred.
