Hartford Union High School is seeking daily substitute teachers for the 2023-2024 School Year.

A Wisconsin teacher or substitute teacher license is required. Requirements include:
* The Five-Year Substitute License may be issued to an applicant must have completed an approved educator preparation program and has previously held a Wisconsin educator license; OR
Applicant must have completed an approved educator preparation program and is eligible to hold a Wisconsin educator license; OR
Applicant has completed an approved educator preparation program outside of Wisconsin and holds an equivalent license from that state.

* The Three-Year Short-Term Substitute Permit Applicant must hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Submit original transcripts with the application.
Applicant must submit evidence that they have successfully completed the district-selected substitute training. The following are acceptable forms of documentation:
Confirmation letter of successful completion, on district letterhead, including date of completion, signed by an authorized Administrator.
CESA or WEAC Certificate of Completion, including date of completion.

Additional qualifications include:
* Passion to engage all students
* Ability to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
* Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff, students
and parents
* Desire to work in a collaborative setting
* Strong interpersonal skills

While many area school districts pay a service to provide substitute teachers, HUHS is still utilizing their own substitute teachers to fill their needs. This allows HUHS the ability to pay a higher rate than area schools. HUHS currently pays $130 per day and the opportunity to make up to $160 per day if working 21 days or more in a school year.
