The School District of Janesville is accepting applications for Non-Certified Substitute Teachers. Candidates are required to obtain a Short-Term Substitute Teacher License through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. In accordance with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, applicants of the 3-Year Teaching - Short Term Substitute License must successfully complete the approved substitute training as per PI 34.032. To apply for a 3-Year Teaching - Short Term Substitute License: Applicant must hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Submit original transcripts with the application. Applicant must submit evidence that they have successfully completed one of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction approved substitute teacher training courses. The following are acceptable forms of documentation: - STEDI, CESA or WEA Certificate of Completion, including date of completion. - PI-1633 Substitute Teacher Training Verification Form The fee for the 3-Year Teaching - Short Term Substitute License is $125.00. This is a school year position beginning September 1, 2023. Previous substitute experience and/or experience with children is preferred, but not required.
