Greenfield Middle School is seeking a full-time Social Studies Teacher. Candidates for this role should: *Possess a valid Wisconsin teaching license *Develop and sustain meaningful relationships and develop genuine connections. Recognize each person as a unique individual; value differences. *Desire to meaningfully collaborate with colleagues in a professional learning community setting to ensure the academic and wellbeing needs of each student are met. *Meet a range of diverse learner needs; be flexible and responsive. *Be positive, supportive and possess a growth mindset. *Continuously reflect on and develop current practices, looking for different ways to positively impact student learning. *Challenge and stretch student thinking through insightful questioning, fostering an excitement for learning and instilling a sense of ownership in students. *Utilize a variety of purposeful, aligned assessment methods to best understand and support student needs in learning and affective realms. *Provide actionable feedback to students to ensure student learning progress. *Design and implement student-centered lessons utilizing a broad range of effective, differentiated and personalized techniques and strategies. *Craft literacy-infused lessons to help students understand and communicate across 21st century literacies. *Design learning plans that develop 21st Century skills such as self-directed learning, critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, well-being, global competence and communication. *Be committed to the middle school learning community beyond the classroom. *Demonstrate a passion to work with middle school-aged students.
