We are interested in speaking with you about future English as a Second Language teaching opportunities in the Green Bay Area Public School District. We are a district rich in diversity that ensures every Multilingual Learner (ML) has the right to equitable access to culturally relevant teaching and learning. Our mission is to enrich the linguistic and academic development of MLs by fostering collective responsibility for the development of multilingual and culturally competent students. Consider joining a learning community where all students are prepared to successfully compete, connect, and collaborate in a linguistically and culturally diverse world.
Martin Elementary School is a family focused community school, located on the northeast side of Green Bay with a K-5th grade enrollment of approximately 375 students. Martin teachers are experienced professionals with deep knowledge of research based instruction, best teaching practices, and are genuinely interested in helping students reach their full potential. Martin Elementary School consistently scores above state test averages in all academic areas because of the high level of expectations and the support from families and the Martin Staff. At Martin, students participate in daily 90-minute literacy blocks and 60-minute math blocks, integrating technology throughout the day. Students are provided opportunities to learn at their level, and interact with peers to deepen their understanding. Teachers work collaboratively to meet all students’ needs and to provide the right amount of challenge for each individual student. On staff we have teachers specially trained to teach art, music, and physical education, as well as support English Language Learners, and students with special learning needs.
Aldo Leopold Community School believes in raising children in the company of adults. Partnering with community, family, and student volunteers makes this possible. Developing caring relationships with adults other than their parents will help them know they are a vital part of this school and the Green Bay community at large. Within these partnerships the students often design and implement service learning projects that become a path for them to further their
connections with the community.
