The School District of Reedsburg is looking for a Special Education Teacher for the 2023-2024 School Year. This position works primarily with Grade 3 students. Teaching students with disabilities includes being responsible for providing direct instruction to students while maintaining an environment conducive to learning. Provide educational services to students in accordance with their Individual Education Plan (IEP). Use Instructional strategies to teach social skills and problem solving. Implement strategies for assessing student skills within curricular areas including academic and vocational. Implement student behavior plans as written. Oversee and schedule paraprofessionals. Consult with teachers and therapists to plan for student needs and supports. Maintain accurate student records. Complete and submit IEP forms and other required reports within expected time frames. Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress towards goals and other educational successes or concerns. Maintain rights to privacy, demonstrate confidentiality, and respect for differences. The School District of Reedsburg is located in west central Wisconsin approximately one-hour northwest of Madison. We serve about 2,600 students starting with Early Childhood programs, 4-K, 5-K, and grades 1 through 12. The district covers about 264 square miles in Sauk and Juneau counties.
