We are hiring for a Nighttime Aquatic Supervisor/Instructor Verona Area School District Aquatic Center 1.0 FTE; 8.0 hrs per day/40 hrs per week; Hours 1:15 P.M. - 9:15 P.M., Monday - Friday; year-round 12-month position Starting wage $24.71 per hour Position to begin as soon as possible Position will be responsible for the supervision of staff to ensure all duties and tasks are completed nightly in a safe and secure environment. Performing day-to-day supervision and coordination of the aquatic programs, completing Aquatic Center office duties including accurate registration for classes, assisting with Aquatic Center laundry, and conducting daily chemical checks to ensure water quality meets state standards for safe operations during evening shift hours and special events will all be important functions of this role. Position also provides back-up to Swim Instructors and Lifeguards when needed. Current Red Cross Water Safety Instructor preferred, Lifeguard certification is required. Desired certifications include: Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Trainer, Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification. Prior experience lifeguarding with all age groups required.
