The ideal candidate should possess a strong ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administration and hold a DPI license #1952 (Alternative Education) or other applicable WI DPI Teacher License. The Alt Ed/At-Risk Instructor builds and sustains multi-year relationships with students as a support system so that students can become successful in both learning and their next steps in life. The qualified candidate will work collaboratively with the school's leadership team to lead the Alt Ed/At-Risk program for students to ensure a high level of quality education and a safe learning environment. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: *Identify students at-risk *Provides instructional support and assessment for students who are below grade level *Arrange, coordinate, and supervise alternative programs for students at-risk *Works collaboratively in a team approach and utilizes differentiated learning to meet the needs with students *Works collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, school and agency counselors, and related service providers in the overall educational plan for at-risk students *Arrange for the input of parents of students at-risk in the planning and programming for their children *Provide counseling, group work, and access to counseling for students at-risk Wild Rose has a 4K-12 student enrollment of about 600. We have one elementary school and one middle/high school (grades 6-12). The vacancy will start with the 2023-2024 school year. Preference to candidates who hold an Alternative Education License OR meet Alternative Education eligibility requirements to obtain an Alternative Education license as required by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI). Individuals who hold a valid WI DPI-issued license for Grades 6-12 in other content areas and are willing to obtain the Alternative Education license are encouraged to apply. School Location/Setting The School District of Wild Rose is a small rural school district in central Wisconsin, located in Waushara County. There are currently 573 students enrolled in the School District of Wild Rose. We are 98 miles north of Madison, WI and 39 miles southeast of Stevens Point, WI. The communities of Wild Rose, Saxeville, Mt. Morris, Pine River, and West Bloomfield, along with the surrounding rural areas of these communities make up our district. The district function hosts 4K/EC through 12th grade in two buildings (Wild Rose Elementary and the Middle/High School). Qualifications: Preference to candidates who hold an Alternative Education License OR meet Alternative Education eligibility requirements to obtain an Alternative Education license as required by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
