The Princeton School District is seeking a full time qualified high school English teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. The position includes teaching grades 9-12 English and Literature classes. Candidates must be self-driven, collaborative, creative, willing to grow professionally and have a positive attitude. Candidates need to have the ability and willingness to serve as advisor to a variety of small groups of organizations and/or clubs. Other advisory rolls that are available are Forensics, Student Council, Drama, National Honor Society, etc. Candidates must have strong leadership skills including teaching best practices and strong classroom management skills. Duties and Responsibilities *Execute meaningful and engaging learning experiences, interventions, enrichment, remediation, advising and assessment with college preparatory rigor *Maintain high standards of achievement for themselves and all students *Be cognizant of students' social, emotional, mental health and academic needs while maintaining high educational standards and strong self-discipline *Prepare lesson plans and deliver instruction based upon Wisconsin State teaching and learning standards. *Apply best practices in classroom management *Be committed to our districts' culture which promotes "learning, collaborating and succeeding: Shaping tomorrow's citizens and leaders." *Create trust and maintain clear communication among students and parents, families and guardians *Incorporate technology and 21st century learning in the classroom *Provide a safe and wholesome classroom environment *Maintain grading, behaviors and assignments on Skyward Student Learning Management System Compensation and Benefits Princeton School District provides a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
